In the past week, Julia was introduced to Papa K (Uncle/Apple Jon's dad), and Dan and Susan's families (the brother and sister of Uncle/Apple Jon) as they passed through the Chicago area. She also met many aunts, uncles and cousins from Paul's family at a family picnic/reunion. On Saturday and Sunday, she was a champ during the hours we spent outside in the 90+ degree weather and high humidity (good baby, bad mama).
She had her 2-month well-child exam yesterday. She weighed in at 12lbs. 7 oz. and measured 23 5/8" long (both 90th percentile). The doctor said everything looks great and he was impressed with her ability to hold up her head while on her tummy. He didn't have any other new information as it relates to her apparent seizure, but we have a follow-up appointment with the pediatric neurologist in early August and a consultation with a pediatric ophthalmologist in a couple of weeks. She had 3 immunizations at the end of our visit, resulting in big tears. I wasn't anticipating the 2 1/2 hours of crying and disinterest in eating that followed in the early evening hours, but thankfully she slept and ate well during the night. She's back to her normal self today!
